Opening: December 12 at 7:00 p.m.
We are pleased to announce that this December 12 at 7:00 p.m. the exhibition Dance of Earth and Dream will open at the Exhibition Hall of the Citadel of Roses. This show is a photographic installation that serves as a link between two creative universes: When Viola met Vargas and Into Being.

A sensory experience between body, memory, and essence

Dance of Earth and Dream invites the viewer on a journey between matter and spirit, between movement and silence. Through the fusion of two languages —visual and sonic— the installation offers a deep and contemplative immersion.

In When Viola met Vargas, the visceral power of flamenco —inspired by the ancestral nature of the moving body— intertwines with the introspective and spiritual gaze of contemplative art. The images, suspended between sharpness and dissolution, reconstruct time through frozen movement: each photograph suggests a gesture, a trace, an infinite instant.

In Into Being, the Taranto chant —a primordial and ancestral voice— becomes an inner impulse, a vibration that summons a rhythmic memory of the body. Sound evokes remembrance and activates an intimate dance, an inner dance that vibrates between strength and fragility, between preservation and transformation.

In Dance of Earth and Dream, these two languages converge: photography ceases to be merely vision and becomes experience, a shared territory where the matter of the body meets the vibration of the spirit, where gesture dialogues with memory, where presence intertwines with silence.

Why it is an unmissable event

A cross-disciplinary artistic proposal — It is not just a photographic exhibition, but a sensory and meditative experience, a bridge between disciplines, emotion, and reflection.

A space with its own identity — The Citadel of Roses, with its thousand-year-old history and rich heritage, brings a special dimension to the project: a contrast between the antiquity of the place and the modernity of artistic expression.

For a wide audience — For lovers of photography, dance, traditional music, contemporary art, and for anyone moved by the poetry of gesture, body, and memory — a unique experience for all.

How to attend

The exhibition opens on Saturday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Citadel of Roses. We recommend checking the hall’s schedule and any entry conditions, as the venue operates under established opening hours.

An invitation from the soul

Dance of Earth and Dream is not just an exhibition: it is an invitation — to pause, to look, to feel. To let photography stop being just image and become sensation; for the body to rediscover its ancestral memory, and for the spirit to find an echo in silence. We look forward to seeing you there.
